Sophie is a Partner in the Digital Business Group. Her clients are predominantly in the financial services, fintech and broader technology industries and she advises them on a range of complex commercial and regulatory topics, in particular in relation to AI in the context of financial services regulation. Sophie is the AI lead for the Financial Institutions Sector at Simmons and is a core member of the City UK AI Working Group and regular participant and contributor to the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA)'s standing committees on AI.

She has spent time on secondment with several major financial institutions and works very closely with a number of significant financial technology providers. Sophie regularly acts both on the customer-side as well as on the service provider-side and covers AI related contract, financial services technology regulation and data protection advice. The deep knowledge this gives her of how clients in the technology, telecoms, financial services and fintech industries operate enables her to provide current, practical and effective advice. Sophie is listed as a Next Generation Lawyer in Legal 500's UK Fintech: corporate and commercial rankings.
