Shannon Kurtas is Head of Trading at Kraken, responsible for the exchange’s spot and derivatives platforms. Prior to joining Kraken, Shannon was a trader at Brevan Howard and Elwood Asset Management, where he built out the firm’s digital asset trading and technology capabilities. Previously, Shannon was Vice President in interest rate derivatives trading at Deutsche Bank, having moved over from a career in semiconductor engineering. He holds degrees from both Carnegie Mellon University as well as Drexel University.
