Jonathan Reynolds was appointed Secretary of State for Business and Trade and President of the Board of Trade on 5 July 2024. He was elected as the MP for Stalybridge and Hyde in May 2010. As the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, he has overall responsibility for the department’s delivery and strategy, cross-government business engagement, public appointments, FTA negotiations, WTO, G7 and G20 ministerial meetings and the DBT overseas network.
