Eric is a founding Partner of the EdenBase “Active Innovation” fund and ecosystem, investing in and supporting the next game changing companies that use frontier technologies for responsible supergrowth.
A former Fintech entrepreneur (Adeptra - sold to FICO) Eric has been contributing to the U.K. technology scene for over 30years. The challenges of entrepreneurship led him to devote over 10 years of his career to advising the U.K. Government on entrepreneurial inward investment and tech entrepreneurship, ultimately becoming an adviser to the U.K. Prime Minister (Cameron) in 2012, where he created and led the UK’s famous Tech City/TechNation initiative, feeding in to policy and supporting the growth of approximately one third of the UK’s unicorns.
Eric then rejoined the private sector where he created London’s famous Level39 Fintech hub, supporting the growth of many of the UK’s Fintech unicorns, and where he launched the UK’s first Blockchain lab.
Always exploring new frontiers, Eric and his team recently launched the TransforBase.com event for business adoption and investment into frontier technologies.
Eric was a founding advisory board member of Tech London Advocates, lives in the Sussex countryside just outside of London and has three daughters and six grandchildren.
