Randy Kroszner is an external member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee, which is charged with identifying and monitoring risks that threaten the resilience of the UK financial system as a whole. He also is an external member of the Bank’s Financial Market Infrastructure Committee. He is the Norman R. Bobins Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and has more than 100 publications on topics including financial regulation, innovation, and monetary policy. In addition, he chairs the Federal Research Advisory Committee to the US Treasury’s Office of Financial Research and is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Academic Advisory Council. Professor Kroszner served as a Governor of the Federal Reserve System from 2006 to 2009, where he took a leading role in developing responses to the global financial crisis. From 2001 to 2003, he served in as a Member of the U.S. President’s Council of Economic Advisers.
