Tom Ahern is the Global Head of Client Coverage for the BNYM Corporate Trust business. The business provides core offerings such as trustee, administration and agency services to help issuers expertly navigate the debt capital markets. Tom is responsible for managing and enhancing existing client relationships within the business both from a revenue and partnership perspective, growing new business revenues and executing on the businesses key strategic initiatives and product enhancements.

Prior to taking on his current role Tom was responsible for the Corporate Trust business in EMEA. Responsibilities included creating and implementing region-specific strategy, employing appropriate governance oversight and for creating superior shareholder value for the company through business performance/P&L management.

Previously Tom has managed both the Corporate Trust Ireland business as well as the Global Corporate Trust Analytics function. Core capabilities performed from Ireland include administration and agency services, investor reporting and collateral monitoring.

Such services are complimented by the Global Analytics group which is responsible for developing and modeling compliance and payment logic on multiple products across the debt capital markets. The team is based in various locations across EMEA, the US and APAC.

Tom joined the organization in 2006 prior to which he worked with Bank of Ireland, Daiwa Securities and JPM, reviewing and implementing system and process enhancements within their Fund Administration businesses. He also spent three years in Sydney, Australia working in equivalent roles with Colonial First State Investments.

Tom has over 20 years industry experience and holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Limerick.
